Pink Floyd - Time

Time est un titre de Pink Floyd, dans l'album The Dark Side of The Moon, sorti en 1973. Il a été écrit et composé par Roger Waters.

 

Le temps vous glisse entre les doigts, Roger en a pris conscience quand sa carrière a commencé à vingt-huit ans. Il dit qu'il aurait vécu sa vie entre dix-huit et vingt-huit ans différemment s'il en avait eu conscience plus tôt.

Tu gâches et gaspilles les heures de façon désinvolte
En te défoulant sur un terrain de ta ville 
Attendant quelque personne ou chose pour te montrer la voie

Fatigué de buller au soleil chez toi à juste regarder la pluie
Tu es jeune, la vie est longue et tu as du temps à tuer aujourd'hui
Et un jour tu t'aperçois que dix années se sont passées
Personne ne t'a dit quand courir, tu as raté le signal de départ

Alors tu cours et cours après le soleil mais il est au couchant
Continuant sa course pour se lever à nouveau derrière toi.
Le soleil est le même, mais par rapport à lui, toi tu as vieilli
Plus à court de souffle et jour après jour plus près de la mort

Les années se raccourcissent, tu ne trouves jamais le temps
Les projets ne donnent rien ou restent des lignes gribouillées
Tenant bon dans un calme désespoir est un trait bien anglais
Le temps a passé, la chanson est finie
Je voudrais ajouter quelque chose

Chez moi, chez moi de nouveau
J'aime y être quand je peux
Quand j'y rentre frigorifié et fatigué
C'est bon de réchauffer mes os devant le feu
Bien loin au-delà des champs
Le glas de la cloche d'église
Appelle les fidèles à s'agenouiller
Pour entendre les sortilèges murmurés
